2.       United States has won 929 gold medal in all Olympics.

3.       The most appearance at Olympic is by two athletes in 9 games. One is Hubert Raudaschl of Austria in Sailing, it is between 1964 to 1996. Second athlete is Ian Miller of Canada in Equestrian, it is between 1972 to 2008.

4.       Most number of 18 medals medal won by Larisa Latynina of Soviet Union.

5.       In first ever Modern Day Olympics 14 nations with 241 athletes participated.

6.       James B. Connoly of United States was the first athlete to won any event in Olympics
